⚙️ Configuration & Setup

The behind-the-scenes settings: payments, your branded subdomain, the give-back charity, sponsorship packages, and course maps.

Your branded subdomain

Every organization gets its own address on BallStriker:

Your name, colours, and (soon) logo appear across all of these. New subdomains work automatically — no DNS setup on your end.

Payments (Helcim + Apple Pay)

BallStriker uses Helcim, a Canadian payment processor with transparent interchange-plus pricing, and supports Apple Pay. Card details never touch our servers (they go through Helcim's secure modal), which keeps everything PCI-compliant.

💳 To turn on live payments: connect your Helcim account (grab your API token from Helcim → Settings → API Access) and we'll wire it in. Until then, checkout runs in demo mode so you can test the full flow — orders are recorded as complimentary.

Optional give-back to charity

Give-back is off by default and entirely optional. If you want your event to support a cause, go to Settings → Give-back in your dashboard, switch it on, enter the percentage you choose, and name the charity. From then on that percentage of everything your event raises is directed to your cause. Leave it off and nothing changes — it's your call.

Sponsorship packages

Your event ships with a proven ladder (Team Entry, Host-a-Hole, Sponsor-a-Hole, Pin Flags, Hole-in-One, Donation). Each package can include a team, golfers, perks, and inventory limits. Buyers pick them on your registration page and pay online. To customize prices or add packages, edit them in your dashboard (or ask us — takes minutes).

Course maps

Every course gets a satellite map view (in the player app's 🗺️ Course tab and at /course/). Where detailed golf data exists, fairways, greens, bunkers, and water hazards are overlaid with numbered hole markers.

📍 Coming soon: distance-to-pin. Once enabled, players will see live yardage to the green from their phone's GPS.

Food & drink point-of-sale

Concession sales run through an integrated point-of-sale. Your event links to a POS profile with your products (beer, food, coolers). Volunteers with the "pos" role sell walk-up items, and totals roll into your unified revenue dashboard alongside registrations and sponsorships.
