Never organized a golf tournament? Perfect — this guide takes you from zero to a live event in about 5 minutes. No golf knowledge required.
⛳ Good to know: BallStriker is free to start and there's no setup fee. If you'd like, you can turn on an optional charity give-back in your settings later.
What BallStriker does for you
BallStriker replaces the spreadsheets, the cash box, the printed scorecards, and the three volunteers you'd normally need. In one place it handles:
- Sign-ups & payments — players and sponsors register and pay online (card or Apple Pay)
- Sponsorships — ready-made packages (hole sponsors, pin flags, hole-in-one) that fund your event
- Live scoring — golfers tap scores on their phone; a leaderboard updates in real time
- Food & drink sales — a built-in point-of-sale for the beverage cart and grill
- Optional give-back — if you choose, send a percentage you set to a charity you pick (Settings → Give-back)

Go to the setup wizard
Visit your BallStriker site and click "Sign up my tournament", or go straight to /start/.

Answer 5 simple questions
Event name, date, roughly how many golfers, how you want to play (we recommend Scramble), and your email. That's it.

Get your dashboard & login
We instantly create your event and email you an organizer login. You'll land on your dashboard.

Share your sign-up link
Send one link to players and sponsors. They register and pay online — you watch the money come in.

On play day
Golfers scan a QR code on their cart, tap in scores, and the leaderboard lights up the clubhouse screen. You look like a pro.
🏌️ Don't know the golf terms? You don't need to. When the wizard asks about "format," just pick Scramble — it's the crowd-pleaser that works for all skill levels and it's what most charity events use.

Do my players need to download an app?No. They scan a QR code or tap a link — it opens right in their phone browser. No app, no account.
What does it cost?$79/year to use the platform, plus a small percentage of what your event raises. No setup fee. Want to give back to a charity? That's an optional setting you control — choose the percentage and the cause.
What if I mess something up?Everything is editable, and nothing is final until you're ready. Reach out anytime — a real person will help.
Does it work without cell signal on the course?Yes. The scoring app saves offline and syncs automatically when signal returns.
